How is Femilift performed?
The FemiLift™ treatment is easily performed utilizing a single-use hygienic probe that is rotated in a 360-degree pattern, covering the entire vaginal wall. SUI / Urge Incontinence symptoms are specifically addressed by focusing light emission under the mid-urethra from 11 o’clock to 1 o’clock positions with bidirectional passes.
What Are Your Symptoms?
Incontinence is the inability to hold urine in the bladder due to loss of voluntary control over the urinary sphincters resulting in the involuntary passage of urine. There are a few different types of incontinence. At Bense SurgiSpa, we treat both Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) and Urge Incontinence.
Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) is when you can’t control your bladder when you laugh, cough, or sneeze. This happens when the muscles and other tissues that support your bladder are weakened. There is a number of contributing factors from childbirth to illness to hormonal deficiencies. You are not alone: nearly 1 in 4 women age 18 and older suffers from unexpected bladder leaks. The good news is that this condition is treatable.
Urge Incontinence is when you lose urine for no apparent reason and suddenly feel the need or urge to urinate. The most common cause of urge incontinence is inappropriate bladder contractions. Medical professionals describe such a bladder as “unstable,” spastic,” or “overactive” and may call your condition “reflex incontinence” if it results from overactive nerves controlling the bladder.
Dryness. A vagina with Dryness and Moisture Loss can make sex painful and can give you an itching or burning sensation, as well as frequent infections. There are lots of causes of vaginal dryness. The main culprit is a drop in estrogen, which can be caused by childbirth, breastfeeding, menopause, or oophorectomy (removal of ovaries), radiation, chemotherapy, antidepressants, douching, Sjogren’s Syndrome, allergies, menopause, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, among others.
Laxity. A loose vagina may be caused by childbirth, natural thinning of the vaginal wall or atrophy; that occurs with time. So you do Kegel’s on the way to work, Kegel’s at your desk – it seems you’re Kegeling all the time, but it’s not getting you very far. While Kegel’s will strengthen your pelvic floor – the muscle surrounding the vagina – the FemiLift laser goes further to actually strengthen and tighten your vaginal wall itself.
External Vaginal Appearance is a concern for some women. At Bense Surgispa we can combine laser vaginal rejuvenation with Laser Vaginoplasty, more aimed at improving the look of the labia, by removing excess bulges on the pubis, reducing the thickness of the labia minora, sculpting the labia majora, and creating uniform pigmentation.
Low libido, sexual dysfunction or disinterest – the fact is, you just are not ‘feeling’ it. Can a laser really fix that? Yes! Because it’s not in your head. Bense SurgiSpa and FemiLift stand at the forefront alongside other products that are helping women enjoy sex again. However, unlike a daily drug, the FemiLift laser requires only 3 treatments along with a yearly touch up, lasting 20 minutes each. By offering solutions to common problems like incontinence, dryness, and looseness, Bense SurgiSpa offers something else: confidence. When sex feels good and satisfying, there’s a natural side effect: you’ll desire sex again.
Aesthetic Resurfacing and Bleaching:
Vaginal resurfacing and bleaching have become popular aesthetic procedures, correcting the effects of hormonal and physiological changes to the external vaginal area.
Treatment of Venereal Warts:
Condyloma or genital warts are difficult to clear using standard therapies, with a high recurrence rate among those infected. The Alma Pixel CO2 provides a powerful laser treatment option with the ability to access complex, hard to reach areas. The treatment effectively ablates and destroys condyloma lesions as well as latent infections, yielding cure rates of up to 95% for visible lesions. A smoke evacuator accessory eliminates potentially contagious smoke generated during the procedure, protecting treatment personnel from risk of viral infection.
Perineoplasty:
Perineoplasty can repair episiotomies or spontaneous tearing during childbirth causing scarring and laxity. The CO2 laser restores this with precision and accuracy by elevating and tightening the perineum.
Labiaplasty:
Labiaplasty can readily repair enlarged labia majora and minora. Our laser is ideal for this treatment minimizing any bleeding and preventing tissue damage.
At Bense SurgiSpa, we also offer Invasix Radio Frequency vaginal rejuvenation.
This unit can effectively treat all the internal and external vaginal indications addressed by the CO2 Alma laser, but do not require topical or local anesthesia.
This technology is particularly adept at treating:
External vulva/vaginal/perineal appearances as it relates to labia majora, clitoris and some degree the labia minora.
No Surgery. Only Solutions.
Think of it as one feel-good domino effect: It starts with the FemiLift™ laser, a thermal heating system that stimulates tissue regeneration throughout the vaginal canal. In response to the procedure, the body begins to heal itself by building up collagen and blood vessels. As collagen is produced and elasticity increases (tightening the vaginal walls), there’s an increase of friction that heightens orgasms and increases sexual satisfaction. Meanwhile, the regeneration of new, healthy, stronger tissue supporting the bladder helps to restore normal continence. Increased blood flow restores the balance of genital mucosa, which triggers vaginal lubrications and relieves women of many symptoms associated with dryness. It works by helping your body heal itself.
Testimonials
“I am in my fifties and was having vaginal issues, so I decided to have a FemiLift procedure by Dr. Adams. She is a wonderful doctor and made me feel very comfortable before and during the procedure. I felt safe and relaxed under her care. I found the procedure to be extremely helpful for my condition. Even after the first treatment, I started to see a difference in the way I felt. I am very pleased with the outcome having now completed the required three sessions. I feel so much better than I did before, it has made a great difference in my life. I would recommend this to anyone who may be having vaginal issues. I am so happy that I decided to have FemiLift.”
DISCLAIMER: This is a new technology. Although it has been cleared by the FDA, FDA approval of “medical devices,” unlike medications, is a short and not necessarily exhaustive process. While it appears from a limited number of studies, that both laser tightening and relief from vaginal atrophy accomplishes what it promises with little risk of harm, there really are no well-controlled long-term (over 2-3 years) studies like there are for surgical procedures. Surgery remains the gold standard for “vaginal tightening” but laser may offer benefits in certain situations (see above.) Vaginal estrogen therapy remains the “gold standard” for vaginal health rehabilitation, but there are situations where laser treatment may offer advantages.
